three weeks on
Today marks three weeks on the Weight Watchers plan. Weigh in is tonight.
For the most part this week, I've followed the plan and kept to healthier choices (remember no funnel cake?)
So, other then what the scale will say, what have I noticed?
First, it is becoming easier all the time to follow healthy choices. That doesn't mean to say I'm perfect- no one is. I did have a few potato chips-and counted them. I opted NOT to eat the funnel cake (at 33 points no way!) which means I've become more aware of what I'm eating. That in turn helps me make better choices.
Second, I've noticed that the belt I am required to wear for work, has gotten 'bigger'. By that, I mean that I've had to tighten up one notch!
Third, I simply feel better. As a direct correlation between what I'm eating (healthier choices, fruits and veggies) I have really felt more energy and a desire to do more then I did a month ago. Now, is it due to the actual consumption of better foods or a mind set, I'm not sure. Either way, it's a win.
My goal for the first month was to loose 8 pounds. It appears that I am on track to meet that with one more week to go. Like I said in a previous post, on my scale at home I am down 8 but the 'official' scale at weigh in is the one that 'counts'.
My next goal is to loose a total of 20 pounds before September 7 when I leave for Europe. That might be a bit more difficult, but certainly something to work on. In 18 months I am going on another cruise- I'd like to have all 100 gone by then.
Baby steps.
